What is State A Thon?

State A Thon is a part of a nationwide movement called Dance Marathon. Over 300 campuses across the U.S. work to raise money for Children's Miracle Network. All the money we raise goes to the Sanford Children's Castle of Care in Sioux Falls to support children in South Dakota. We host small fundraisers year-round, leading up to a big celebration in April of each school year. As a dancer, you will get to spend the whole day with a "miracle family" in a small group. We play fun games like human foosball, relay races, lip sync battles, etc. We do some dancing, but no dancing skills are required. Dancers also have a very minimal commitment. We require each dancer to raise only $50 total, which gets you one free meal, snacks, a T-shirt and access to the entire day. The more you raise, the more you get, as dancers receive incentives for hitting the next fundraising level. If you want more involvement, please visit our committees page to find more ways to get involved! State A Thon is extremely fun and rewarding and is the easiest way to give back to your local community. Dancing truly can save lives. Help us change kid's health and change the future by joining our movement today!
